Painting rusty metal chairs
I’ve got a rusty little floor lamp that Steve acquired for me – free. Well, OK. I saw a tweet from a local decor shop saying they had free stuff behind the store – first come, first served – and I may have called him from my office in an utter panic, as I was chained to my day job and not able to pick through the goodies. He’s a kind-hearted fellow, Steve, so he stopped what he was doing and headed over to check out the goods. He later reported that it sounded as if an hysterical squirrel was wheezing at him from the other end of the phone, so gibberish had I become in my giddiness over free discards.
That’s just the sort of woman I am. The sort who gets giddy over discarded goods.
So this cracking tutorial from The DIY Network on how to paint rusty metal chairs will be a great guide for me when I redo this lamp. AND they painted the chairs hot pink – nice!
