Amazing desk from old door
Prepare to lick you lips as you salivate like Wile E. Coyote gazing down on a field of fat sheep. I give you this amazing desk made from an old door:
Ugh. Gorgeous. This is the work of Manoteca, a company out of Italy:
I really like the idea that in every object is held somebody’s life.
I hope that who is going to possess an object will think about that and take good care of it.
Manoteca is a little house in a park, a lab where old and abandoned things are hosted among with recycled materials, reinvented and reassembled.
They all are one-offs, handmade and treated with natural paints.
I’m in love with a company – is that so wrong?
You had to do that, didn’t you?! I have a perfectly adequate, ugly, newer, desk and now I can think of nothing but this beauty. I’ve pinned it. I may print it, and put it in a frame on my ugly desk so that I can just stare at it all day. I don’t think that my sons will mind if I replace their photo with one of a this desk, do you?!

I upcycled an old desk for my space and now I want to huck it in the ditch. I feel your pain.
