Freshening up the lab
My home office, or The Lab as we refer to it, has had a few new inhabitants introduced to it this weekend: two lovely birds and a rolling cart. Now, I know what you are thinking - how did that cart not become Living Room Bar Area #4. Yes well, I don’t want people to think I have a problem. Ha.
The cart was had at last weeks 50 Mile Yard Sale. It was in pretty decent shape – just needing its nuts and bolts replaced to make it more sturdy. The top tier pops off, BTW, which makes it that much more exciting. I’m taking some time to contemplate how I might give it a little more personality - until then it can serve as a nice way to store some office items and raw materials. The two birds were a $1 yard sale deal. They were that charming plastic faux-metal that graced so many of our parents and grandparents homes. I gave them a quick coat or 4 of spray paint and found them quite fetching.
As always, I love adding functional storage to my small workspace. The shelves on the wall do feel like they are crowding things a bit now, so they may get moved further down the work table. And I suspect that trolly may yet be put to anther use. *coughs*
