Rotary phone clock

I love old phones.  Until this year, in my office I had what we referred to as the Quincy phone.  Not dissimilar in style to the one you see below  save for its oatmeal colour and push buttons – it was one of the first push button models. I named it thus because when I was  on it I could pretend that I was Quincy, M.E. and occasionally shout “Dammit kids are dying! We’ve got to get the mayor to listen to us!” before slamming it down. They’ve taken that phone away from me and given me a fancy modern phone which has completely broken my spirit with its hands-free mode.

So it is with both pleasure and concern that I show you this lovely rotary phone clock:

Pleasure, for it is wonderful to look at. Concern because I know I would get overly excited when showing it to people  and try to dial it, thus doing myself or the phone an injury.  Still, it is lovely.
