Space conscious people will tell you that vertical is the key. Using your walls for storage ( e.g. a magnetic knife rack or hanging utensil rack) and building up saves floor space. Or in this case, deck, patio or yard space. If you haven’t got a lot of room but want a lot of garden, consider a pyramid tower.
This is a great idea for your outdoor garden, but the same principle could be applied (likely on a smaller scale) indoors, for an herb garden perhaps. Get the instructions at Remove and Replace.
