An Antique Crib Becomes a Garden

This is upcycling that sticks to a theme – growing things. First the crib was used for growing humans. Now it’s used for flowers and herbs – and seeing as how safety standards have advanced a bit since this was in use, that’s probably a good thing.

Fancy Knob Boxes

I struggled with some time to adequately describe this project – and I may have failed. No matter, I love these acrylic boxes embellished with some spray paint and knobs. It’s shown as a Mother’s Day project but I would love a counter top full of these for myself.

Embellished Coat Rack

Some people like a plain coat rack, and some people like a little more flair when they take their coat off after a long day. We’re here trying to please you all, so today we have a fun project to embellish your coat rack with some favourite sayings. They’ve used comforting, family-friendly words on this one and that’s lovely. Mine might say things more like “Still working for the man, chump?” and “Hang up coat, fetch martini.” Handy affirmations and reminders.

DIY Fairy Door

This fairy door was built and installed on an old tree trunk in a garden. Some people put them indoors, often in kid’s rooms. I’m not saying that would have freaked me out as a kid, but it’s possible that I would never have slept a wink. But on a tree trunk? Lovely!
